Fluoride Added to U.S. Drinking Water

Fluoride Added to U.S. Drinking Water
Since January 1, 2024, hundreds of tons of fluoride have been added to public water supplies across the United States.

While endorsed by many health authorities, fluoride’s safety is increasingly questioned. Studies have linked excessive fluoride exposure to dental and skeletal fluorosis, potential neurotoxicity, and adverse effects on thyroid and kidney function. Critics argue that the practice removes informed consent, exposes sensitive populations, and may deliver cumulative harm over time.

This tracker reflects not only a massive public health program, but also a growing international debate about safety, ethics, and individual choice.
